Description
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To ensure full compliance with the mandatory EHS standards and requirements,
EHS Federal and Local authority 's laws and regulations including the
applicable international EHS best practices and that occupational Safety and
Health Management System and Environmental sustainability
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
* Effective administration and planning of OSHE/Facility management and safety (FMS)
activities within the assigned business unit(s)
* Monitor and manage OSHE/FMS compliance and performance
* Effective communication and consultation is completed to ensure follow through and clarity of required actions as per OSHAD and JCIA standards
* Management of effective reporting and records maintenance
* Effective coordination and internal collaboration regarding OSHE/FMS activities
* Coordinate awareness and development initiatives
* Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
* Effectively implementation of Risk Management for all activities, projects and facility as per regulatory requirements
Requirements
REQUIERD EDUCATION
Essential: A relevant degree in Science or Engineering or compliance with
vocational Environment, Health and Safety training courses equivalent to the
number of hours completed as required and attested by the relevant authorities
(MOHESR)
Desired : - Certification from a recognised EHS organisation e.g. NEBOSH,
IOSH, OSHA, NASP etc.
* EHS related training e.g. Fire Safety, Risk Management, Incident Investigation and Auditing is essential.
REQUIERD EXPERIENCE
Essential : - At least ‎5 years ' experience in an environmental, health and
safety field
* Registered with OSHAD's Qudorat program asEHS practitioner (Minimum Grade B)
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
* Knowledge of EHS related laws and regulations
* Able to develop policies, and procedures and plans based on local and federal authorities requirements
* Skilled in auditing, inspection, incident investigation and reporting, and risk management
* Ability to conduct training and awareness at all levels within the organisation
* Ability to effectively communicate at all levels in the organisation
* Ability to solve problems and shows wise decision making having consultation with superiors and colleagues in relation to safety and health implementation
* Skilled in effective meeting conduct
* Have skills and knowledge of being a competent EHS professional and being able to conduct OSH Risk Assessment for different topics
* Experienced in creating awareness and presenting training to employees as well as conducting audits, EHS incidents investigation, Risk Assessment and ALADAA system use and reporting.
* Knowledge and experience in Joint Commission International standards, audit and accreditation requirements and EHS laws and regulations
* Sound knowledge and understanding of the healthcare industry
* Knowledgeable in the operation of EHS for healthcare delivery services
