Description
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Responsible to ensure the timely and accurate recording of all accounting and
financial transactions of the hospital in the accounting software of the
hospital. Also responsible for financial and performance reports, to ensure
the compliance of policies and procedures of the hospital. Liaison with
Director finance to achieve the strategic objectives of the hospital.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
* Maintain the hospital 's account which by ensuring that all modules/ ledgers, payables, receivables, general ledger,fixed assets, inventory and cash and bank are accurately maintained and periodically closed in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures.
* To monitor and manage financial governance across all hospital/clinic functional areas
* Support allocated business units with management account analysis and improvement initiatives
* Responsible for implementation and compliance of International financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as approved by the Saudi Organization of Certified Accountants (SOCPA).
* Liaison with external auditors for timely completion of annual and quarterly audit of the hospital.
* Support business with relevant inventory management and consumption KPI's and controls
* Support business with Capex expenditure, monitoring and reporting
* To review, monitor and cost deliver all support services and related activities and ensure achieve patient satisfaction objectives
* Communicate and respond to the enquiries of internal audit of the hospital.
* Responsible for hospital's banking activities and communicate with banks regarding the banking transactions, loans etc.
* Reconcile the hospital's balance with third parties including suppliers, customers, and banks
* Assist Director Finance in development of financial and strategic plans or any other plans for long and short-term.
* Supervise and follow up with accounting staff reporting to him regarding the compliance of financial policies and procedures of the hospital and provide the necessary support for them to achieve their job responsibilities.
* Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the field of his/her knowledge, skills, and abilities by his/ her manager.
Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Essential: A relevant bachelor 's degree in finance or accounting
Desired: Chartered Accountant: CA(SA), ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent is
preferable
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Essential: ‎5-‎7 Years management experience in a financial environment
Desired: ‎5-‎10 Years management experience in a financial healthcare
environment
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
* Skilled in leading and managing complex negotiations with relevant stakeholders
* Demonstrate a sound knowledge and application of accounting principles, this would include recording, reporting and management of the books of accounts.
* Have the ability to understand financial statements and provide relevant advice with regards to what needs to be done.
* Demonstrate sound knowledge of risk management principles and systems and the ability to effectively minimise risks
* Accounting financial modules
* Experience with contracts and service level agreements
* Conflict management
* Knowledge and experience of the operations of hospitals and clinics in the KSA
* Computer literacy (MS Office)
* Financial acumen and industry awareness
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Arabic will be an advantage)
* Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Knowledge and understanding of stock management principles and processes
