Landside and CHB Procurement Manager, SAR

Manages simple projects for procurement functions within any element of
procurement, category, spend area or BU.
The Procurement team in Maersk West Central Asia (WCA) is looking for a
Landside and CHB Procurement Manager to drive our Logistics and Services (L&S)
growth journey and will be responsible for managing the variable spend in
Saudi Arabia Area.
Maersk is looking for an exceptional talent to join our Logistics and Services
Procurement team in Saudi Arabia. This is a unique opportunity to be at the

involve being responsible for the Inland Transportation (Rail, FCL and
Domestic trucking) and CHB procurement and contract management activities
covering Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain. The position is
based in Jeddah, KSA and will report into the Area Procurement Manager, Saudi
Arabia area. The person will be working closely with the Maersk commercial
organization to drive the organizational transformation and support the L&S
growth journey. This role will be a key player in supporting the Saudi Arabia
area growth for Landside transportation and CHB products within L&S product
portfolio and will play a significant role in the wider cost optimization
agenda of the WCA region.
Experience in supply chain management, logistics or shipping operations and
procurement is a necessity when applying and combined with awareness of cost
drivers will be highly valued in the selection process. It is necessary to
possess experience in project management and it is expected that the candidate
in previous roles have acted as project leader for cross-functional projects.

* Managing complex procurement projects within operations in KSA, Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain to ensure alignment between costs, commercial needs and operational execution
* Being accountable for integrating Contract Management frameworks to help ensure cost leadership, compliance and best in class supplier performance.
* Accountability for problem solving, analytical work, and driving insights from this to procurement and business functions
* Leading negotiations and coordinating Service Level Agreements between Maersk and its suppliers
* Performing supplier market analysis and organising market intelligence
* Driving supplier relationship management
* Cooperating closely with colleagues within the Area, Region and Global functions
* Some travel within the WCA region is to be expected
Required:
* At least ‎5-‎7 years of experience in Logistics, specifically Inland Transportation, Supply chain management and Customs House Brokerage
* At least ‎2-‎3 years of experience in procurement
* A Degree in a Business/Supply Chain Management or a related field
* Experience in Warehousing, Distribution, Cold Chain, E-Commerce logistics would be an added advantage
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
* Strong negotiating skills
* Willingness to work in a fast paced and often ambiguous environment
* High learning agility
* Languages: English, Arabic
Preferred:
* Master's degree or MBA
* Leadership experience
* A strong procurement background
