The Maintenance Engineer role is critical to the development of our factories
to World Class, which means zero defects, zero waste and zero losses. This
role will focus on preventative maintenance throughout the factory with a
combination of execution of preventative maintenance for the general
facilities and improvements in the preventative maintenance for the operating
equipment. The Maintenance Engineer role will focus on elimination of
breakdowns and maintenance of basic conditions through use of Focused
Improvement methods including implementation of countermeasures that simplify
processes, standardize procedures, utilize predictive/preventative maintenance
effectively and introduce increased automation and controls.
Working directly with the line crews and cross-functional teams the
Maintenance Engineer will lead improvements to eliminate breakdowns and ensure
equipment basic conditions are maintained. In addition, act in support of
technical training for maintenance teams and provide coaching in phenomena
identification, root cause analysis and the establishment of countermeasures.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
* Maintenance cost budgeting, tracking, and forecast preparation.
* Guarantee the expected machines and equipment reliability in production areas to meet the requested production capacity and accordingly with the budget.
* Define and plan all necessary maintenance activities according to the budget.
* Organize, update, and archive the documentation regarding maintenance of machines and equipment.
* Analysis of breakdown reasons and preventive actions consisting of modifying the maintenance plan to avoid the failure reoccurrence.
* Support maintenance teams during problem-solving concerning machines and equipment reliability.
* Definition and implementation of SMP.
* Definition and supervision of spare parts and their availability in the warehouse.
* Collaborate to define the specific indirect materials supply for maintenance department machines and equipment.
* Continuous collaboration with Operative Maintenance in the production area and with Product Engineering.
* Make sure that the equipment and machines maintenance plan includes activities to meet the expected safety and quality level.
* Develop and implement new technical solutions and managerial methods to improve machines and equipment reliability and maintainability to improve equipment performance and reduce maintenance costs.
* Support Product Engineering during tests on production areas.
* During the acquisition of new equipment, participate in reliability analyses (EFMEA) at the design phase and try out.
* Participation in acceptance of machines and equipment (new and after modernization)
* Cooperate to define and plan the proper training for maintenance technicians.
* Contribution to continuous improvement activities regarding processes and services.
* In the range of executive autonomy take the needed decisions and make the proper actions to improve tasks regarding the environment.
* guarantee the confidentiality of the documentation.
* Make sure that maintenance third-party companies operate accordingly with the company 's policy.
KEY DELIVERANCE
* Eliminate Loss according to the UMS (Unilever Manufacturing Systems) prioritization process using PM (Preventive Maintenance), FI (Focus improvement), and QC pillar tools and methodologies.
* Implement preventative, predictive maintenance and design/automation improvements to maintain basic conditions and increase MTBF.
* Develop standards to sustain improvements.
* Train maintenance crews on technical standards and sustainability of basic conditions
* Identify and extend good practice to other lines.
* Key Performance Indicators (as driven by Cost Deployment Analysis):
* PM compliance.
* Breakdowns (PM Loss).
* MTBF / MTTR
* Maintenance Cost.
* Spare parts cost reduction.
Experiences & Qualifications
* BSc in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering with 2-3 years' experience in a similar field.
* Able to visualize clearly what the ideal production system is.
* Able to clearly understand operating principles and establish correct operating standards.
* Able to present findings and rationales clearly so that the whole factory team can understand.
* Able to make logical decisions based on data.
* Possess a challenging and pioneering spirit.
