Job Summary:
The Director of Engineer is responsible for the general administration of the
Engineering Dept., including proper maintenance and repair of all buildings,
fixtures, fittings, and equipment as technical improvements, preventive
maintenance, and utilities consumption control.

As a Director of Engineering, we rely on you to,

Plans, designs, and implements minor projects, to improve the plant efficiency
or reduce other operating and maintenance costs.
Plans and implements a preventive maintenance system to try and achieve zero
defects for all equipment in the hotel.
Provides training to all department staff to ensure efficient operation,
proper maintenance, and repair to equipment as well as good morale.
Attends daily morning briefing.
Conducts monthly internal meetings to keep staff informed and to seek
feedback.
Conducts daily briefing and distributes work assignments.
Prepares and attends P&L; and Dept. Heads meeting. Analyses performance and
ways to improve it.
Communicates with VIP guests. Enquires about their stay in the hotel, comfort
preferences and problems.
Ensures Repairs and Maintenance (work orders) are taken care of.
Motivates staff by providing positive feedback and reinforcement.
Gives feedback to General Manager and DHR on staffing levels of the department
to assist in determining staffing level for the department.
Monitors performance of engineering staff and communicates this to each staff
either personally or through Maintenance Officers on a regular basis through
counseling.
Documents performance of Engineering staff through biannual performance review
in conjunction with HR
Implements the identified Best Practices in the work area.
Participates actively in the monitoring and planning for the continual
improvement of the Resort’s EMS.
Has overall responsibility for implementing the Resort’s environmental
commitment on “Prevention of Pollution.”

What we are Looking For:

‎5 years’ experience working experience in engineering.
‎1 year as Chief Engineer in an international class hotel
