Job Description:
Principal Objective: A brief summary of the responsibilities of the
position
To interface operationally at a managerial and manage the contract between The
Royal Commission Port Authority and the Port Operator responsible for the
operations, maritime division, quality, Health & Safety, Environment,
reporting services and IMO standers. To assure the contract terms are fully
respects and followed to the detail on daily basis.
Major Activities Performed: List the major job function(s) of the
position.
* Monitor Port Operator duties and obligations as perm IOA, including Marine Division sub-contract, Stevedoring and Equipment handling & PMS where the main duty will be assuring the Operator's top performance, accurate reporting system, and the efficiency & safety of the Port as the main reputation factors.
* Monitor Port Operator on behalf of the Port Authority for training, developing, and promoting employees.
* Safety Incident Rate of direct reports from all divisions managed by the Port Operator.
* Port Operator contract management on behalf of the Port Authority.
* Perform Audits on behalf of the Port Authority under the guidelines of IMP's STCW, Marpol, SOLAS, ISO, IMO, ISM, ISPS, PMSC etc. near the Port Operator to ensure compliance and to deliver respective reports.
Experience and Qualifications: List the background experience required for
the position, number of years experience, in what fields. Describe the
desirable academic background.
* Bachelor's Degree in Port Management, Marine & Port Engineering or Higher National Diploma in Maritime/Marine Studies.
* Minimum of 10+ years' experience in the Port and Maritime industry.
* Must be highly fluent in English.
* Knowledge of computers and basic software applications: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
