Parsons is now hiring an experienced Port Deputy Chief Operating Officer t
o interface operationally at a managerial and manage the contract between
the Royal Commission Port Authority and the Port Operator, responsible for the
operations, maritime division, quality, Health & Safety, Environment,
reporting services and IMO standers.
Major Activities Performed:
- Act as Deputy COO - Administrative Affairs and assists the Port COO in all tasks, where applicable and managed.
- Responsible for Planning, maintaining and ensuring targets/budget are met for all costs at an analytical level.
- Monitor Supply chain, Logistical impacts, Bonded area flux and compliance on behalf of the Port Authority as strategy level.
- Monitor Port Operator Methods and impacts near National entities as a senior member of the Port Authority.
- Port Operator contract management where sovereignty and national interests are concerned on behalf of the Port Authority.
- Perform Audits on behalf of the Port Authority under the guidelines of IMO'S STCW, MARPOL, SOLAS, ISO, IMO, ISM, ISPS, etc. on the Port Operator to ensure compliance and to deliver respective reports as an interface with governmental institutions.
- Act as JCPDI Port agent for IMO, IALA, GCC seaports counsel, ECA authority, Riyadh MoU, UKHO, ISPS, and all applicable relationship with all national and International entities.
- Act as an interact e between all agents, users and Port community near the Port Authority.
- Support the investigation of all legal compliance where matters are related to the Port Authority and the interaction with governmental bodies.
- Act as a Port representative near National entities occupying the Port buildings on their needs, duties and obligations under MoU.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Port Management, Marine & Port Engineering, Maritime Academy or any other related field.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in Port and Maritime industry.
- Must be highly fluent in English Language with professional communication skills.
- Candidate should have leadership, Teamwork, and project Management skills.
- Knowledge of computers and basic software applications: MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
