Quantity Surveyor

" What You'll Be Doing"
Review and maintain knowledge of Terms and Conditions of all subcontracts for
which he is responsible. Attend kick-off meetings and subsequent progress
meetings with subcontractors and produce and distribute minutes of meetings.
Survey and measure work in progress and check subcontractors interim payments
applications. Value additional works, site instructions, variations and
daywork applications. Negotiate 'star rates' with subcontractors where
necessary. Identify and report potential problem areas, particularly those
that are likely to give rise to claims. Assist subcontracts administrator in
the analysis and resolution of subcontractors claims. Conduct final measure on
work executed and prepare and agree final accounts. Assist in close-out of
completed claims.
* Generally assist Senior Quantity Surveyor.
* Deputise for Senior Quantity Surveyor when required.
* Check Contractor's valuations.
* Check and record measure of work done.
* Check materials on site against delivery notes.
* Prepare variations and dayworks.
* Prepare cost estimates.
* Checks claims from Contractors.
* Assists with preparation of payments to Contractors.
* Assist with preparation of the Final Account.
* Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements.
* Liaise with Department in financial matters as required.
" What Required Skills You'll Bring"
* Diploma in Civil Engineering or Professional Qualification in Quantity Surveying.
* 10 years postgraduate experience.5 years related experience.
