Construction Supervisor - Logistics
Tabuk, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
This level of Construction Supervisor typically manages projects of high
value, complexity and prestige. Operating at the project delivery level, the
Construction Supervisor will support on the delivery of facilities and
construction work packages, that will support the delivery of a world class
airport, across design, construction, and operational phases. The Construction
Supervisor will work with all project team members on the construction, modern
means of construction (MMC) and alternative construction delivery related
matters.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Construction Supervisor will:
* Actively implements Parsons "Own Zero" Safety Program
* Manages overall site, infrastructure and logistics of the project
* Collaborates with construction management to eliminate any hazards associated with the work that may adversely affect the environment or the safety or health of employees.
* Ensures that personnel of the assigned group engage in safe work practices in compliance with site-specific safety procedures and industry standards.
* Frequently interfaces with upper-level management and client personnel.
* Undertake responsibility for overseeing the construction supervision activities of the design consultant and management of construction project (s).
* Coordinate among supervision consultant, contractors, airport personnel, design personnel, and others. Coordinates the resolution of construction problems.
* Participate in procurement / tender evaluations.
* Supervise preparation of construction procedures, project procedures and reporting.
* Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
* Assigns personnel, materials, and equipment to maximize efficiency, maintain schedules, and to meet budget goals.
* Anticipates and resolves various problems such as changes in scope, slippage of schedules, and budget overruns.
* Ensures that critical milestones are met for each phase of the project.
* Makes recommendations to upper management as appropriate, for the resolution of major problems.
* Ensures the use of sound construction practices to attain required quality control at the maximum efficiency and minimum cost.
* Assures the latest construction technology and modern means of construction(MMC) are implemented and used wherever feasible
* Prepares periodic reports summarizing progress of construction activities for higher level management and clients, including formal presentations.
* Establishes policies and procedures tailored to the assigned projects and ensures conformance.
* Ensures effective implementation of all Company and client policies and procedures, including labor relations policies.
* Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of fifteen (‎15) years in the construction industry, preferably with A irport project experience .
* Minimum five (‎5) years in similar, senior management capacity. Must have the ability to develop strong working relationships with third party contractors and vendors, interface and coordinate project performance with other disciplines, interpret and deliver client's vision, and proactively manage the construction process and enjoy being hands on technically in the project.
* KSA experience preferred
* Proven Safety record
* Requires widely diversified knowledge of construction related processes and industry practices.
* Ability to manage diversified activities with multiple and competing requirements.
* Excellent verbal and written English communication skills (particularly in formal presentations to clients and upper management)..
* Knowledge of the construction industry.
* Knowledge of construction contract language and provisions, strong negotiation skills, capacity to work autonomously.
Education
* Bachelor 's level degree in engineering or technology related discipline.
* Project Management certification (PMI/RICS/APM) preferred
