Deadline Date 2022-06-13Objective:
The Cook provides quality and timely cooking services at ICRC premises. The
incumbent cooks for mobile and resident staff daily and is also responsible
for purchasing and managing food stock and applying basic Hygiene.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Provides quality and timely cooking services at ICRC premises;
- Prepares lunch for mobile and resident staff according to instructions (strictly respecting hygiene principles) and with minimum food waste;
- Prepare the meals according to the daily schedule and the orders from the menu;
- Places orders to the line manager to keep the appropriate level of stock according to the needs;
- Keeps an inventory of stored items;
- Cleans pots and all material used (except trays, dishes, glasses, and cutlery);
- Prepares the ICRC Visitor’s breakfast boxes according to breakfast food standard The incumbent also delivers the breakfast boxes to residents in an accurate and timely manner;
- Ensures cooking equipment is in good condition (safe for use);
- Prepares food for interlocutors upon request of the HoD;
- Makes sure of a good cleaning of the kitchen equipment before use (strictly respecting hygiene principles).Education and Professional Experience required:
- Primary school education or higher.
- Similar work experience of at least 2 years.
- Basic knowledge of English (written and spoken).
- Capacity to cook professionally.
