About : As an Environment Officer , you would be Implementing Environment
solutions for projects in a dynamic corporate environment; Communicating and
collaborating with project and technical teams on Environment requirements,
delivery and support; Mentoring, guiding and leading other team members.
Provide environment management services in a DevOps and Agile environment to a
major application group. The role will include all aspects of the product life
cycle from solution concept through development and test to implementation and
operational support. Develop working relationships with the internal and
external teams and the lcentral IT community, contributing to the development
of an evolving technical environment.
Role Responsibilities :
* Coordinate additional test requirements for hardware/software and patches
* Working as a SPOC (Single Point Of Contact) between external partner and Infrastructure team regarding test environments for Project and Maintenance
* Test environment coordination
* Ensuring that test team has the right preconditions (regarding installed versions)
* Ability to work autonomously and work in an undefined environment and be self-sufficient in delivery
* Ensure environments documented and procedures to facilitate application installs ready for handover to operational teams.
* Working with continuous improvements of way of working and service delivery
* Put the test environment into place before test executions.
* Provide input to and coordination activities to improve the test environments
* Provide test environment support for individual projects
* Lead or support in the solution of test environment disturbances
* Report status in the test environment complexes

Role Requirements :
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology
* Good communicator and able to influence people
* Good team player and able to operate independently
* Technical Project/Program Management experience, IT Operations or Technical Support experience
* ‎3+ years working in a DevOps environment.
* ‎5+ years working in the provision of environment infrastructure including Windows server environments (IIS, Server ‎2012) plus Oracle ‎12, MS-SQL databases, programming in Java and .Net technologies.
* ‎2+ working with outsource IT suppliers.
* Experience working with Service Now or JIRA an advantage
* Demonstrable good knowledge with engineering tools such as, Jenkins, Powershell, Jira, Confluence or similar;
* Cloud experience or exposure to various cloud-based applications;
* Technical background in software engineering and delivery;
* Experience in IT Environment Management in a corporate environment;
* Agile experience or exposure;
* Ability to prioritise and multi task within various projects in a dynamic, fast moving environment;
* Ability to adapt in a changing environment and take initiative to suggest improvements.
