About us:
The International British School is part of a conglomerate of schools with
premises in Hawally and Fahaheel. Both schools are ‎3 to ‎16, co-educational
international schools. We are friendly and family-centered ranging from ‎500
students from KG to Y12 to ‎800 + in Hawally. The schools have excellent
facilities.
The opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Principal for an immediate start.
The successful candidates will be highly skilled, and child centred. This is
an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and welcoming community in a
school that has recently successfully passed its OFSTED and has a great
future.
Qualities:
* Have recent experience leading a British curriculum school in a Principal role
* Be an effective and dynamic leader with a proven track record driving school improvement
* Have previous experience of overall Principal/Headship of at least one school
* Have some experience of leading a school through inspection, having significant impact during the process
* Be able to demonstrate a comprehensive and confident knowledge of student achievement, curriculum and assessment from Y6-Y13
* Be able to demonstrate successful experience of leading and managing staff through an inspection
* Commitment to students and staff well-being
* Be able to demonstrate genuine passion towards the wider co-curricular life of a school
* Be confident in team and resource management, strategic planning and decision-making
* Be an excellent team player
skills:
* PGCE and ‎10 years min experience in teaching
* Experience in similar position in a British School
* Preference is given to British nationals or graduates from the UK with a PGCE .
* Strong communication and people skills
* Familiar with school management systems and proficient in use of technology
* High level of cultural awareness and sensitivity
* Approachable and highly visible our community, our next Principal will possess the gravitas, warmth and authenticity to inspire and engage students and stakeholders alike.
