Job description
The SQL DBA will be responsible for ensuring the performance, security, and
reliability of the SQL Server database systems that support our business
operations. Should have a thorough knowledge of SQL Server architecture,
installation, optimization, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This position
requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to
work effectively both independently and in a team setting.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the availability, performance, and security of SQL Server database systems.
* Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances on Windows Server.
* Implement backup and recovery procedures, disaster recovery plans, and security policies.
* Monitor and optimize SQL Server database performance and query execution.
* Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
* Collaborate with software developers and system administrators to support their database needs.
* Evaluate and recommend new database technologies and tools.
Qualification
* Bachelor 's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in SQL Server database administration.
* Certification in Microsoft SQL Server is a plus.
* Strong knowledge of SQL Server architecture, installation, optimization, and maintenance.
* Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and database security.
* Knowledge of disaster recovery plans and backup and recovery procedures.
* Ability to work effectively in a team setting and excellent communication skills.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics BC or D365 F&O will be added advantage.
More Information
This position is full-time and is located in Kuwait. Some travel may be
required.
