About the job
The primary role of the Marketing and communication Manager is to provide
leadership for the marketing team, set its strategic plan and goals, execute
the annual plans, design and implement IUK’s branding plan, and supervise and
manage the department.
You will closely collaborate with the senior management, the academic
departments, and other different administrative departments at the university
to build IUK’s image and its presence in Kuwait, regionally and
internationally. In addition, you will utilize surveys, studies, and analysis
of Kuwait’s society, market, and economic trends to make recommendations
responsive to its situations and directions.
Strategic Planning
Lead and supervise the development of IUK's Marketing & Communications
Strategic plan and align marketing/advertising campaigns with strategic goals
Supervise the collection and evaluating market research and competitor data to
feed into marketing communications strategy
Budgeting and Operations
Develop and manage the Marketing & Communications department budget
Manage and monitor IUK’s presence in the market.
Connect and network with students, parents, and industry.
Plan and coordinate Student Recruitment campaign
Develop and supervise IUK’s branding plan
Evaluate staff performance and plan their professional development activities.
Website Content
Maintain the content of IUK’s website
Make recommendations for continuously improving the image of IUK on the
website Policies & Procedures
Participate in the development of policies & procedures for Marketing &
Communications and oversee adherence in practices
Oversee Sponsorship of Events and coordinate participation in Fairs to achieve
enrolment goals
Coordinate needs for IUK’s publications (brochures, posters, etc.)
Supervise all IUK’s publications to ensure consistency.
Ensure that the university marketing strategy and plans are properly
coordinated with and communicated to all departments
Oversee production of publications and coordinate with advertising agencies to
ensure efficiency and adherence to budgets
Develop and maintain a stock of promotional material (brochures, posters,
banners) Quality Assurance
Participate and cooperate with other departments to provide the highest
Quality Standards.
Strive towards achieving QA standards for the department, such as ISO.
Responsible for University’s branding standards
Education
Marketing, Business, or PR related degree from an accredited University.
MBA is preferred
Professional Certificates are an asset
Experience
Minimum ten years of experience working in Higher Education, out of which at
least five years in a similar position.
At least five years in HE strategic planning
