About the job
Role purpose
Supports the programme team in the implementation of programmes and projects
in compliance with British Council policies and procedures including financial
admin, reporting and data collection, operational project delivery and
managing relations with delivery partners.
Role Context:
This role sits within the Cultural Engagement (CE) Strategic Business Unit
(SBU).
CE brings together our portfolio of work in arts, education, English, and
research. Our portfolio is delivered through a set of globally led programmes
that locates our work and impact within our strategic framework. These
programmes deliver our key performance indicators and impact ambitions.
All programme management roles deliver activities and projects within this
global programme and strategic framework. Our programmes are funded by the
British Council’s grant in aid, through partnerships and external clients.
Main Accountabilities:
Managing Self and others
Holds vendors and suppliers to account for delivering services.
Has the ability to work independently and manage work load against project
deadlines.
Financial Support
Plan and report on project financial plans and budget expenditure and
forecasting to Programme Managers and Head of Programme Delivery; manages
smaller budgets.
Ensure relationships with vendors are maintained and payments are processed on
time and in accordance with FABS on-line system (SAP Finance) guidelines.
Project Management
Responsible for data management including timely data entry, quality assurance
of data, undertaking basic analysis of monitoring data, and developing
progress reports to meet needs of funders.
Manages grants administration, selection & evaluation, and procurement
processes.
Manages events-based components and trainings within a programme.
Relationship & stakeholder management
Manages relationships with clients/partners/stakeholders at appropriate level.
Manages relationship with vendors and suppliers and holds them to account for
delivering services.

Qualification
Role specific knowledge and experience
Experience of working in a supporting role on programmes or projects.
Administrative and financial administration experience.
Good understanding of basic concepts of monitoring and evaluation, and how
they are central to good project management

– Pay band 4 / H
Salary
420 KWD / Monthly

4. Annual Airfare: You will be entitled to annual airfare allowance after
completing 12 months of em-ployment at the time of pay-out as per the Gulf
Annual Airfare Policy.

Requirements
Candidates are expected to have researched whether they have the right to live

Some travel and out of hours work may be required
Language Requirements:
Working proficiency in English and Arabic is required
