Transportation Supervisor
Job Description
Purpose:
Transportation Supervisor plays a pivotal role in the organization, he is
responsible
for supervising the transportation function including but not limited to
selecting and
maintaining vehicles in order to keep deliveries and distributions on schedule
and
within its established budget. He works closely with drivers to minimize
expenditure
and deliver the highest possible level of service to the customers. The
Transportation Supervisor streamline routes with drivers to keep costs down,
whilst
delivering a high level of service, ensuring successful and smooth operations,
all in
compliance with The Bridge and Client standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supervise the transportation operations activities of all assigned projects.
Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained, serviced, and meet safety
standards.
Plan Routing and Scheduling and optimizing routes to maximize efficiency and
timely
deliveries.
Monitor fuel consumption, implement cost-effective fueling strategies, and
ensure fuel
efficiency.
Supervise and manage drivers, including training, scheduling, and addressing
performance issues.
Ensure fleet operations comply with relevant regulations, and all fleet
vehicles are
properly maintained, serviced, and meet safety standards.
Plan Routing and Scheduling and optimizing routes to maximize efficiency and
timely
deliveries.
Analyze data to identify trends, optimize routes and enhance overall
transportation
efficiency.
