Role Description
Primary responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the retail store, ensuring that all
operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Managing the sales team, including hiring, training, and providing ongoing
mentoring and support.
- Setting ambitious yet achievable sales targets and motivating the team to
meet or exceed these goals.
- Ensuring the highest level of customer service is provided at all times,
leading by example to maintain and enhance the store's reputation.
- Coordinating with the financial management team to prepare the sales budget
for the upcoming year, providing insights based on past sales performance and
future projections.
- Analyzing sales trends and data to identify areas of improvement or
potential opportunities for increased sales.
- Managing the external sales team, providing direction and support as they
work to expand the store's reach and customer base.
- Actively seeking out new opportunities for growth and expansion, including
identifying potential new products or markets.
- Working closely with the warehouse management team to ensure adequate
inventory levels are maintained, helping to avoid stockouts or overstock
situations.
- Participating in setting the warehouse budget, using sales forecasts to
predict necessary inventory levels for the upcoming year.
- Ensuring that all products are displayed and marketed effectively,
coordinating with marketing and visual merchandising teams as necessary.
Qualifications
Retail Sales and Sales skills
Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills
Proven ability to create an exceptional customer experience
Strong staff management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Experience in the lighting industry is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
Relevant skills: Time management, Team building and leadership, Negotiation
skills, Market research and analytics.
