Technical Product Manager
About the job
Product Manager - Space - REMOTE - ONE WEEK A MONTH IN DENMARK (FULLY
PAID)
We are seeking a dynamic Product Manager for our Space product line, focusing
on imaging sensors for Earth Observation and Space Domain Awareness. As a key
member of the Geospatial Product Management team, you will play a pivotal role
in defining our Space portfolio and roadmap. Your responsibilities will
include collaborating closely with our sales, providing critical product
information and support, and delivering the necessary details to our marketing
team for effective promotion. You will also engage with our R&D; department to
ensure that the technical solution aligns with customer requirements.
Ultimately, your innovative mindset will drive the creation of new solutions
that address customer needs and business challenges.
In this position, you will report directly to the Director of Product
Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take on the role of a 'CEO' for your product line, assuming overall
responsibility for its success.
- Gain deep insights into the satellite and Earth Observation market,
actively participating in industry events, conferences, and collaborations
with partners and customers.
- Prioritize requirements from various sources, including field staff,
customers, partners, and the industry, to develop a clear and effective
roadmap that supports business objectives.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the PMO office to establish and execute
project plans.
- Define the business model and pricing structure for your product line.
- Collaborate closely with R&D; to ensure a shared understanding of
requirements and timely project delivery.
- Provide sales and marketing teams with concise messaging and tools to drive
market success within your specific segments.
- Work closely with the sales team to secure new projects and support
customer success.
- Plan for the entire product lifecycle, including ongoing support and proper
phase-out in coordination with the launch of next-generation products.
- Manage key accounts and take ownership of customer relationships.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of ‎5 years of experience in the space industry, preferably with
hands-on experience in Earth Observation (remote sensing, satellite
manufacture, data processing and delivery, etc.).
- Project management experience is required, and certification or advanced
training is highly desired.
- Ability to engage in technical discussions with customers, partners, and
internal stakeholders.
- A strong network within the space industry is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in an international work environment is essential.
- Previous experience as a product or strategy manager, project manager, or
in new business development is highly desired.
