Barista / Waitress
Job Description
We are looking for a Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages,
including various types of juices, coffee and tea. He/she should have customer
service skills and knowledge of how brewing equipment operates. You should
also be able to work various shifts.
Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly as they enter and give them the café menus
Take orders while paying attention to details
Prepare beverages following the company maintained recipes
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee-based beverages, including espresso,
cappuccinos, lattes, macchiatos, and specialty drinks.
Serve beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries etc
Process customer payments accurately and efficiently (cash and cards)
Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other coffee equipment
effectively and safely
Check if all the equipment’s operates properly and report any maintenance
malfunctions or issues to the supervisor
Follow food safety guidelines and health regulations
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the café, including the
beverage preparation area, service counter, and seating areas
Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, and other supplies to avoid
shortages or wastage
Skills
Diploma in food training or relevant training is a plus
2+ plus years’ working experience
Usage of POS system and taking payment by cards and cash
Previous work experience as a Barista is a must
Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
Knowledge of preparing different kind of juices, coffee and tea
Flexibility to work various shifts
Ability to understand customers’ preferences
Excellent communication and customer service skills
