Restaurant Operations Manager
About the job
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to oversee the
day-to-day operations of our restaurant -Abuelo.
As the Operations Manager, you will ensure the smooth functioning of all
operational aspects, including staff management, customer service, inventory
control, and overall performance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management,
exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding
dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
‎1. Team Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, hosts,
chefs, and kitchen staff.
Provide ongoing coaching and support to the team, fostering a positive work
environment and ensuring high standards of service.
Schedule staff shifts and optimize labor costs to maintain efficient
operations.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any performance or
disciplinary issues.
‎2. Operational Excellence:
Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with health and
safety regulations, quality standards, and operational procedures.
Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to maximize
productivity and profitability.
‎3. Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and place orders with
suppliers to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize waste.
‎4. Financial Management:
Prepare and manage budgets, forecast revenues and expenses, and monitor
variances.
Control operating costs by optimizing resources, minimizing waste, and
implementing cost-saving initiatives.
‎5. Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their
satisfaction and repeat business.
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience (‎8 years) in restaurant management, with a proven track
record of successfully managing restaurant operations.
Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on motivating
and developing staff.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to
multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Sound knowledge of Lebanese and Italian restaurant operations, including food
preparation, service, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.
Proficient in financial management, budgeting, and cost control.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
