Elementary mathematics teacher
Title: Mathematics teacher
Reports to: Principal
Primary purpose:
To create a flexible primary classroom environment conducive to learning and
personal growth; To establish an effective relationship with students; To
establish good relationships with parents and other staff.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver lessons to facilitate students' understanding and application
of mathematical concepts.
Prepare and distribute educational materials such as notes, assignments, and
tests.
Provide resources and supplies for lessons.
Ensure that the classroom remains safe and suitable for learning.
Assess assignments and tests in a timely manner.
Refresher tests and final exams.
Documenting and reporting on student progress.
Communicate regularly with parents and legal guardians regarding child's
performance, track and record student progress and keep records updated for
progress reports and report card conferences
Review curriculum needs, implement improvement plans, and provide tutoring and
additional support
Lead by example by making your students feel motivated while maintaining a
friendly personality
Attend school events to better understand students’ interests and
personalities outside of the regular classroom, build strong relationships
