As an EHS Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for establishing,
implementing, managing, and continuously improving the environment, health and
safety programs for Cairo site, to ensure compliance with legal legislation
and corporate EHS&S standards
You will be leading the site stakeholders on their key responsibilities
towards successful EHS control framework, implementation, and maintenance of
effective EHS management system, through site Independent Business Monitoring
and Management Monitoring, to ensure that properties and lives of staff are
safeguarded in accordance with the requirements of the Workplace Safety and
Health Act and the Corporate local EHS&S policies and standards.

* Establish formal, measurable, and where appropriate, quantified indicators of performance that reflect GSK 's EHS Policy, objectives, targets, regulatory and other EHS requirements
* Review new and current EHS&S legislation, identify gaps and ensure setting appropriate action plans to close gaps and ensure site compliance to local regulations.
* Inform Management on changes in local regulations affecting safety, health and environment and ensure that site procedures are reviewed and updated to conform to the new requirements.
* Maintaining a legal register to record all relevant laws, regulations and permits in addition to obtaining full access to relevant laws, regulations and permits referenced within the register
* Review gap analysis against EHS standards and introduce gaps to self-assessment tool and CAPA to site tracker.
* Issue & maintain the assigned local EHS&S procedures that effectively describe site's EHS management system
* Establish a programme of management monitoring to assess and monitor controls to ensure they are in place, in use and effective to drive continuous improvement and monitor engineering, administrative and PPE controls with a variety of different mechanisms
* Lead the site to conduct management monitoring against requirements of EHS regulations, EHS Standards and local procedures and identify weaknesses in control measures to improve their efficacy and reliability. Take corrective and preventative action in response.
* Establish a programme of independent business monitoring of activities, programmes and the overall EHS Control Framework to verify that controls are sufficient and sustained to manage the risks associated with their business activities. The programme must assess compliance with Global EHS Standards, local regulatory requirements and SOPs as well as the effectiveness of EHS risk management and control.
* Ensure suitably competent personnel carry out management monitoring and independent business monitoring and host regulatory audits. This includes competency in the subject matter as well as proficiency in communication skills and auditing techniques. IBM auditors must be independent of the activity being audited.
* Manage the periodic independent assurance and/or external inspections of the EHS control framework and individual programmes and regulatory compliance. Be prepared for regulatory inspections
* Conduct root cause analysis on findings from MM, IBM, IA, external inspections and adverse trends in performance monitoring data. Develop and implement suitable corrective and preventative actions to address not only the immediate issue but also the underlying root cause(s). Once CAPAs are implemented, review CAPA effectiveness.
* Communicate the results of any audits to those involved and those who have the ability to make changes in response to findings. Escalate information for management as needed to ensure that findings and risks are communicated and managed accordingly.
* Coordinate the EHS-related Committees established at site and organises the committee meetings and activities. He is responsible for producing the minutes of meetings which are sent to the committee members and Senior Management. He also leads each committee's safety inspection teams in regular site safety inspections, and he is responsible for ensuring that the inspection reports are reviewed by the safety committees.

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our

* Bachelor 's degree in pharmaceutical science or engineering, Major of Chemical, Mechanical, Civil or Electrical
* Minimum 4 -5 Years of experience, working within a multinational company preferably in the same field.
* General practitioner for Professional qualifications EHS topics (such as NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH)
* HSE and Certified Auditor from ISO - ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
* Well-developed influencing and interpersonal skills as is the ability to plan within the context of the business plan.
* Ability to lead projects and handle change of management
* Appropriate practical experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Appropriate working knowledge of Local EHS legislation and management techniques.
* IT literate and effective in the use of with common Microsoft Office & Web applications.
* Ability to plan and manage own workload with limited supervision.
* Tactical and strategic planning abilities demonstrated by delivery of a number of significant projects.
* Effective management of EHS and environmental management systems
* Understanding of legal requirements of occupational health and safety laws and requirements
* Experience in conducting risk assessment.
* Auditing, inspection and investigation skills.
