Job Description:
Scope:
This Role will be the Primary point of Contact between BDP and the Customer at
our Customer's Premises and will be responsible about the development of our
customer's freight and supply chain requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Manage day to day operation and queries relating to freight shipments. Internal/External escalation of any shipment delays that could impact the customer day to day operations.
* Proactively looking for continuous improvements within the customers supply chain and ensure that strong lines of communication are set up and established between both organisations.
* Reporting - Import and Export documentation/administration/ filing - Statutory, operations desk and finance. (Exit entry / document deposit/ Custom duty account/Standing guarantee account).
* Punctual and flawless order handling and documentation.
* Ensure that strong lines of communication are set up and established and that timely information flows between both organisations
* Responsible for timely and accurate update of milestone and data to BDPs operating system
* As a contingency, the operations Coordinator will Contact the customer with exceptions to advise shipment status or to obtain shipment information in a professional manner.
* Ensures that highest level of data quality and integrity by processing shipment accurately
* Ensures KPIs are met all the time
* Any Other duties as assigned by management or Supervisor
Job Requirements:
Qualifications/Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred.
* +3 years of detailed experience of logistics and forwarding operations/regulations and documentation.
* Computer literacy with Microsoft Software applications and /or other market leading software applications.
* Combined excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to analyse situations and to make good decisions based on available information
