About the area you'll be working in…
Bupa Global is the international health insurance division of Bupa. We provide
customers who want premium international coverage with products and services
to access the healthcare they need anytime, around the world, whether at home
or when studying, living, travelling or working abroad.
This is a senior leadership role, reporting to the Director of Financial
Control (based in UK) and partnering with the Managing Director of Bupa Egypt
(based in Cairo).
About the role…
* Leadership of Bupa Egypt finance team - foster a 'one team' culture
* Partner with the Managing Director of Bupa Egypt to support business strategy
* Financial reporting, responsible for the accuracy and timeliness (Group, Market Unit, Local)
* Oversee financial operations and financial planning for Bupa Egypt, evaluate performance
* Liaise with local auditors and regulatory authorities in Egypt
* Governance for Audit Committee, Board reporting, Financial reporting & Regulatory returns
* Support Bupa Global FP&A team to ensure forecasting accuracy
* Partner with Investment Manager and Treasury to manage liquidity & support strategy
Who we're looking for?
* Qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience
* Fluent in Arabic and English (written and verbal) - essential requirement
* Strong financial reporting background; IFRS and Egyptian GAAP
* Excellent leadership skills, ability to inspire and motivate finance team
* Previous experience of insurance / financial sector will be a distinct advantage
* Gravitas to engage and present to Board, good stakeholder management skills
