AOM Project managers (PM) and project coordinators (PC) are planning project
managers for internal optimization projects.
AOM PM is accountable & responsible for overall project management. He/She can
manage several projects in parallel as per his/her workload capacity and is
accountable for their successful on time delivery.
The AOM PM's activities are part of the Service Transition Change Management
activities within the Service Transition lifecycle of optimization activites
and are applied to all types of network services.


The AOM PM is to have deep understanding of the industry and network
technology deployed for different services operating for our customer, as well
as a broad experience with the Orange Business Services environment
components, processes & procedures.
Main activities and responsibilities:
Upon project owner (IBNF, CBM, SM,…) gets the charter signed off by the senior
management, then an AOM PM is assigned to the project and is accountable for:
* communicating and involved in acquiring the HQ Customer go ahead in order to proceed with project activities
* project data validation, resources planning, resources negotiation with other teams, order role assignment of the concerned team in the Service Transition provisioning systems, and communication of these resources to all involved actors (stakeholders) in this project.
During the project execution, the AOM PM is accountable for:
* Project progress reporting to project stakeholders including reporting to diamond HQ customers for their impacted sites.
* Keeping PPRT (project progress reporting tool) up to date with project progress data at least every two weeks.
* proactively manage the end-to-end implementation of the technical migration to ensure that all components are delivered in accordance with the implementation plan and schedule
* proactively taking ownership of incidents, adjusting the planning, owning escalations, and providing updates to all stakeholders & provide a clear image to impacted customers.
* work with customers & service management to develop implementation schedule.
* Trigger site surveys when required
* Perform Order Validation of assigned orders for administrative completeness and technical consistency
* Customers' connections migration orders creation on tools
* Accountable for the on-time delivery of voice & data service optimization migration orders
* Validate service orders with Customers
* Accepting orders through NAOMI for the service change optimization projects(LL to Ethernet or MPLS) , validating these orders through a checklist & creating migration orders on Fileade, Sesam & OPAS.
* Manage port allocation process "Ports booking on GPM as per the ports provided by the regional network deployment team (RSND)"
* Place and track circuit orders with relevant local carriers and third party vendors.
* Placing the equipment ordering (If new routers are needed) to the supply chain through sesam & following up till delivery is confirmed,(LDM role)
* Provide proactive project management to ensure the project deadline is met
* Ensure provisioning databases are accurately updated at all times
* Ensure technical team perform pre-checks before the migration to ensure readiness of all connection components & post-checks to make sure customer connection is properly functioning
* Initiate action to escalate or expedite provisioning issues, as required, to minimize delays in meeting project deadlines
* Continuing to think about and work towards the agreed objective(s) whatever the circumstances.
* Empowered to escalate within vendors & third parties to speed up or bring back a project on track.
Before closing the project, AOM PM is responsible for:
* Performing data integrity checks of all connections in the project scope within different tools, used during the Service Transition phase.
* Timely closing the project & communicating project closure to all stakeholders & impacted customers

Experience
Solid understanding of Orange Business Services solutions as well as
experience in Orange Business Services tools and systems
Understanding of corporate governance within complex organizations
Knowledge of Troubleshoooting techniques & procedures
Knowledge of Frame relay, ATM. DSL & Metro Ethernet access technologies
Good knowledge of vendors and telecom market (pereferably worldwide)
Advanced MS Excel skills
Proficient in the methods and techniques for reporting the progress of
activity against plan
