Contract Engineer (Rail)
Permanent contract
As support to Egis projects within Egypt, the Contract Manager shall be
responsible for providing the required Contract and Commercial support for the
on-going and planned projects, including feasibility studies, on-site field
studies, site works supervision, and any other activities as needed ensuring
full compliance with the project(s) requirements and applicable codes and
standards.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Assist in providing an oversight on all contractual and commercial matters
* Lead the preparation of RFP and TOR documents for new Construction contracts
* Lead the preparation of the Employers Requirements and Technical Specifications with support from the technical teams for a new metro project
* Lead the preparation of the Bill-of -Quantities for a large metro project
* Lead the preparation of accurate cost estimates for all aspects of an elevated and underground metro project
* Participate in the Procurement Process of Contractors for a new metro project
* Lead the preparation of the Contract documents for contract award of a new metro project
* Participate in the procurement process for operation and maintenance contracts.
The candidate should have:
* University degree at minimum Bachelors level of a recognized Civil Engineering Faculty
* 15+ years of professional experience as Contract / Commercial Manager for Rail related projects
* Experience of the Procurement Process for a Railway / Metro related projects is a must
* Been involved in the contract negotiations for the award of civil- and systems contracts for a metro project is a must.
* Excellent communication skills and fluent in English.
* Determined to act in a responsible way in business activities as well as in social and environmental impact.
