Business Unit specific context

Egis Egypt is looking to hire a High Speed Rail Systems Manager to support on
a rail project.
As the Rail Systems Manager reporting to the Project Director you will be
responsible for managing the Systems Engineering Team of high-speed rail
projects in Egypt. You will be managing the technical matters relating to Rail
Systems and ensure compliance with the project requirements, international
codes and standards, throughout the entire project duration.

Job description

Your responsibilities will cinclude but not limited to:

Coordinate all the systems engineering activities with the project team;
* Managing of High-Speed Rail preliminary and detailed design review and compliance with specifications.
* Maintain and update the Requirements, develop and the plans and procedures for Rail Systems.
* Serve as technical expert to take rail systems decisions, review design proposals for technical solutions, make recommendations, resolve technical clashes, etc.
* Manage a team of local and international rail systems experts as part of the supervision team managing the EPC Contractor in accordance with client requirements.
* Responsible for the following disciplines: O&M, Rolling Stock, Signalling, Telecoms, Centralised Control, Power Supply, OCS, AFC, Track and Depot.
* Prepare and deliver project monthly and weekly reports on systems design status, problems, concerns and other matters.
* Ensuring that risks within the systems designs and installation tasks are identified, controlled and mitigated.
* Ensure that all design and implementation activities are performed with highest safety and quality culture in mind and with the ""best"" industry practice.

Profile

The candidate should have:
* University degree at minimum Bachelors level in Electrical, Telecommunication, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* Minimum of ‎15 years of professional experience in High Speed Railway projects.
* Excellent communication and management skills and capacity to negotiate and develop good relations at work and fluent in English and Arabic is an advantage
* Experience in technical project management and good skills in organizing, scheduling and coordinating as a part of a team is required.
* Determined to act in a responsible way in business activities as well as in social and environmental impact.
