Description of the role:
Your Role as a HS &E Manager:
* Lead HS&E Program and improvement of the HS&E systems (ie. Environmental - air, water, waste management systems, Other Environmental System, Process Safety, Machine Safety, and Industrial Hygiene)
* Data analysis, trending, and identifying key improvement areas, including making efficient use of the new HS&E database systems
* Training and capability building
* Development of HS&E programs and systems
* Coaching of site HS&E resources (full time technicians and system owners)
Qualifications
* Long term career interest in HS&E
* 3+ years of fulltime experience in an Health & Safety or Environment role either within a manufacturing site or in a corporate environment
* Knowledge or experience in at least one: process safety, machine safety, fire protection, chemical and physical agent.
* Experience in regulatory program and compliance management, interpreting regulatory requirements, and developing solutions to meet those requirements.
* Role requires effective coaching and development of site and other Business Unit leaders across all areas of HS&E expertise.
* Ability to analyze, innovate, and deliver breakthrough results around metrics and key performance indicators. Can understand existing programs and systems and provide innovative ways to deliver improved content
* Ability to communicate action plans, strategies, and help requests to the right people with the appropriate sense of urgency to drive action
* Ability to lead and implement a major improvement across a broad/diverse range of stakeholders
* Able to influence plant leadership and direction, and lead work successfully with internal and external resources
* Experience and ability to interpret regulations (e.g. OSHA, EPA, etc.) and assist manufacturing site and project teams with implementation.
* Strong Leadership and Communication skills.
