Microsoft Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) in Cairo is part of Microsoft AI
Platform. Our mission is to transform businesses with AI and shape the future
of programming. We open opportunities to infuse cutting-edge AI in
applications, websites, and bots to see, hear, speak, understand, and
interpret user needs through natural methods of communication. ATL Cairo is
focused on different areas of AI including Natural Language Understanding,
Machine Translation and Natural Language to Code. Some of our flagship
projects include Microsoft Translator, LUIS and now GitHub Copilot.
We are looking for passionate, creative, and analytical engineers who love
machine learning, data analytics, and shipping technology with agility at
massive scale. For this position, we are hiring machine learning and data
engineers to work on the data engineering and mining team of GitHub Copilot.
Required Qualifications
* B.Sc. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines
* Good understanding of computer science algorithms and data structures
* Strong problem solving and coding skills using Python, C#, C++, or Java
Preferred Qualifications
* Passion for data science, machine learning and/or natural language processing
* Knowledge of large-scale data analytics engines like Spark and Azure Synapse is a big plus
* Experience in machine learning or natural language processing is a big plus
* Experience in Semantic Parsing, NL2Code, Static Code Analysis or Responsible AI is a plus
* Familiarity with MLOps solutions like Azure Machine Learning is a plus
* Knowledge of Cloud platforms (especially Azure) is a plus
