Finance & Controllership Manager

To lead and develop the Egypt Controllership Team providing all required
financial and management reporting. In addition to provide financial planning
and analysis support to the Regional Finance Leadership Team
Working with local professional advisors, the Operational Controllership team,
the International Tax group, Business Finance teams and Outsourcing partners,
ensure that the business and Regional Hub Management are provided with
appropriate Finance and Controllership support and that all US GAAP, Egyptian
statutory, legal, and fiscal obligations of the business are achieved.

Accountabilities

Controllership:
* Month-End Close & Corporate Reporting - US GAAP and Egyptian GAAP according to group policies and timetables
* Internal Controls
* Collaborate closely with the local professional advisors, the International Tax group, local affiliate Business Finance Team, Outsourcing partners as well as International Shared Service Centers (SSC) and Centers of Excellence (CoE), to ensure the seamless integration of Tax and Financial accounting for affiliate legal entity books
* Inventory accounting and control
* Working Capital & Legal Forecasts
* Banking, Cash Flow Forecasting and Planning
* Balance Sheet Management
* Compliance - Ensure that all supported legal entities comply with all external (Statutes, law, fiscal, payroll, Egyptian GAAP, US GAAP, SOX) and internal (Corporate policies) requirements
* Audit, Statutory and Taxation
* Support for Global and local Legal requirements: contracts, changes in Directors, AGM, etc.
* Accounts Receivables and Trade Investments
Business Finance:
* Month-End Close analytical activities & foundational report development
* Evaluation, review & commentary on trends & anomalies, reporting to key stakeholders for month end close activities & reports, reacting to variance to establish corrective or amplifying actions, drive for increased levels of forecast accuracy through the application of market insight
* Reporting support for business / operational requests outside of regular reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually) - owning the Forecast and Annual Plan for the market
* Work with Commercial Teams to understand & influence drivers of Customers performance; support customer tenders, scenario evaluations & modelling
* Develop & upload Inputs: Volume, Price, Cost, & Overheads, provide for identification of impactful trends
* Continuously partner & train teammates to drive improved FP&A acumen, collaboration, and cross-functional synergies. Deliver opportunities or risk mitigation through business partnering challenge and influence
* Focus on continuously driving for improved financial outcomes for ENR
* Ensure the accurate processing of contractual and discretionary TI, through condition review, monitor/reporting
Team and Talend Management.
Processes, Systems, Corporate Project Initiatives.
Administrative support for Energizer Egypt commercial site.
Support for Alexandria battery manufacturing plant activities - full
coordination with Plant Controller to meet submission deadlines and to ensure
compliance.
Overseeing outsourced relationships: Payroll administration and any other
outsourced services.

Required Skills and Experience

• Graduate degree with an emphasis on Finance, Accounting and Management


• ‎7 - ‎10 years of business experience


• Qualified Chartered / Certified Public Accountant (or local equivalent) (preferred)


• Have a significant level of experience in an accounting role with a Controllership focus, i.e., a Chief Accountant, preferably within the international business environment


• Experience in Business Finance partnering for Commercial Teams, strategic and financial planning, P&L management and financial analysis


• A fluent level of English and Arabic language skills, both orally and in writing


• A good level of numeracy and experience performing quantitative and qualitative analysis


• Solid technical accounting knowledge


• Good computer literacy essential together with a good working knowledge of both SAP and Excel; iScala literacy (preferable)


• Good team player with previous experience of leading teams


• Organized, structured, logical, and systematic in their approach


• Confident/Self Starter with a proactive approach to meeting challenges and overcoming obstacles through assuming full ownership


• Focused on delivering to internal and external deadlines


• Good interpersonal skills to establish excellent working relationship with a wide variety of people at all levels


• Flexible and adaptable to change in accordance with business needs
