JOB TITLE* : Supervisor Accounting
DEPARTMENT: Accounting & Finance
REPORTING TO : Accounting Manager
LOCATION : Cairo, Egypt

PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Supervisor Accounting is responsible for the Bookkeeping activities for
the MENA region and supports the Accounting Manager in ensuring the accurate
and timely production of financial reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Process accounting transactions such as payroll processing, account reconciliations, account receivables, account payables, revenue, expenditure, etc.
* Determine accounting errors or discrepancies and suggest necessary corrective action.
* Maintain accurate accounting records.
* Assist in account receivables and payables activities.
* Respond to accounting related questions and inquiries from employees.
* Ensure financial records comply with company policies and accounting principles.
* Perform month end closing activities such as account reconciliation, revenue accounting, expense accounting, etc.
* Prepare finance reports required for team meetings or as requested by management and customers.
* Prepare and submit financial reports in a timely and accurate manner.
* Review all financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
* Support preparation and collection of data for input into annual budget, forecast and projections.
* Assist in preparing necessary documentation for annual financial audits.
* Liaise with Tax Authorities and other statutory and regulatory bodies.
* Daily Inventory subledger or detailed schedule reconciled to the GL and Monthly COGS calculation.
* Prepare monthly Intercompany invoices and reconcile month end balances with regions.
* Periodic verification of fixed assets performed to ensure the item in the FA subledger have not been disposed of or out of service and still in use and appropriately valued.
* Checking bank balance to ensure that sufficient funds are available before making payments, by following with credit controllers for collections and if needed, transferring funds from the USD bank account.
* Issuing of Intercompany invoices on time and collecting the funds as per due date
* All invoices to be recorded correctly in ERP and prepared for payments as per the aging report.
* Payments to be uploaded accurately with correct value date in HSBC and sent to treasury for release with sufficient supporting documents.
* Follow up with the treasury department to ensure that all loaded payments are released on time, so suppliers/employee payments are not delayed.
* Needs to perform balance sheet reconciliation on weekly basis with understanding numbers and GL accounts, and not only data processing - should be ready to present to accounting manager at any point of time during the month.
* Full responsibility on Dubai tax portal, submitting refunds and making sure its claimed on time.
* Responsible for audit process, starting from providing audit requirements to EY, sends all supporting documents/samples on time, checks draft financial statements and following up till the signed financial statements are received.
* Responsible for intracompany balance confirmation during month close in power app and transmittals.
* Perform month end closing activities:
* Upload financials in HFM.
* Prepare FDME journals.
* Review P&L with accounting manager before closing.
* Prepare month end reports.

As per Board-approved DOA and as necessary for functions outside the DOA.
As delegated by the Managing Director, when necessary.
