Danone MENA is looking for a talented Legal Councel for its Specialized
Business in the Middle East and North Africa region to be based in Cairo,
Egypt. As a Legal Counsel for our multinational FMCG company, you will
provide legal support, advice, and guidance for our business operations in the
MENA region. Your main goal will be to ensure the company's compliance with
local and regional laws, protect its interests, and reduce legal risks. You
will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing,
finance, and human resources, to provide strategic legal advice and support.

The candidate will also carry the following responsibilities:

A- Key Accountabilities:
‎1- Legal Advisory and Compliance:
* Provide legal advice and counsel to management and cross-functional teams on a wide range of legal matters, including commercial contracts, marketing and advertising, data protection, labor and employment, and intellectual property.
* Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies in the MENA region.
* Identify legal risks and propose mitigation strategies to minimize the company's exposure.
* Understand of Corporate vompliance and implement relevant policy accordingly.

‎2- Contract Management:
* Draft, review, and negotiate various ad hoc commercial contracts and agreements, such as supply, distribution, and licensing agreements, ensuring alignment with the company's legal and business requirements.
* Develop and maintain standard contract templates, legal guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across the organization.

‎3- Dispute Resolution and Litigation:
* Manage pre-litigation disputes and provide legal support in the resolution of claims.
* Coordinate with external legal counsel in handling litigation matters as needed.
* Assess the potential impact of legal decisions on the company's operations and advise management accordingly.

‎4-Training and Development:
* Provide training to employees on relevant legal and compliance matters to foster a culture of compliance and risk awareness

B- Key Performance Indicators:
* Timely and effective resolution of legal issues and disputes.
* Successful negotiation and execution of commercial contracts and agreements.
* Drive compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
* Mitigation of legal risks and the company's exposure to potential liabilities.
* Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
* Continuous improvement in the quality and efficiency of legal services provided.

C- Job Dimensions:
* Geographic scope of the job: Egypt
* Main internal relations: All stakeholders (local, regional, and Global)
* Main external relations: Distributors, External counsels, and local authorities
About you
To be successful in the role you should ideally have:

Bachelor and Experience:
* University degree in law, preferably western educated
* ‎5 years' experience (previous experience in a multinational firm preferred)

Functional Competencies:
* Law Proficiency: Demonstrated understanding and ability to apply extraterrestrial laws and regulations to protect the company's interests in interstellar markets.
* Time-Spent Contract Management: Expertise in managing contracts that span across different time periods, ensuring legal consistency and adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
* Negotiation: Ability to conduct negotiations telepathically, fostering clear and efficient communication with stakeholders and reducing the risk of misunderstandings.
* Holographic Dispute Resolution: Proficient in the use of holographic technology to simulate and analyze dispute scenarios, enabling proactive identification and resolution of potential issues.
* Legal Tech Collaboration: Experience in collaborating with advanced legal Tech systems to enhance decision-making and streamline legal processes.
* Corporate Compliance Expertise: Deep Knowledge of corporate laws and regulations, with a proven track record in implementing and enforcing compliance programs within a multinational corporate environment.

Soft Skills:
* Adaptability: Comfortable with change and able to adjust quickly to new situations or challenges, helping the company stay agile in a dynamic business environment.
* Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented mindset, enabling the identification and resolution of complex legal issues.
* Cultural Sensitivity: Awareness and appreciation of cultural differences, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues, partners, and clients from diverse backgrounds.
* Active Listening: Ability to attentively listen and understand others' perspectives, fostering open communication and promoting a positive work environment.

Location:
Cairo, Egypt or willing to relocate.

Languages required :
* Fluent in English and Arabic (French is a plus).
