POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The academic coordinator will be responsible for managing the academic affairs
of the program. S/he will oversee scheduling, course planning and curriculum
development. S/he will assess student performance to determine in what ways
instructional approaches need to be changed or modified.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tasks and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to,
the following:
* Lead the development of curriculum adaption and curriculum framework development as needed
* Develop assessment materials
* Track students learning outcomes (quarterly individual tracking) and provide appropriate feedback on their progress and development
* Create individual progress plans for students
* Take part in the recruitment, reviewing and screening of new teacher applications and provide recommendations for interviews and demos
* Conduct teacher observation sessions and provide detailed reports
* Take part in teachers' evaluation feedback sessions
* Develop mentoring plan for new and experienced teachers as needed
* Assign teachers to classes based on a transparent process
* Channel teacher concerns or needs with recommendations for solutions to Managers
* Keep Grant Programs Lead advised on teacher quality issues
* Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
* Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities
* Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs in preparation for US admission standardized tests
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
* 10% of travel is expected (2 days a month)
