KEY PURPOSE:
Coordinate activities related to incoming / outgoing Air Freight & full truck
load shipments in line to company standards monitoring shipments, identifying
potential problems & arranging proactive solutions.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Review customer requests to ensure accuracy & complete details.
* Coordinate freight shipments with vendors, DHL Bahrain hub, Gateway, Operations & other entities involved in shipping.
* Communicate to customers to notify shipment status, delays & challenges during shipping.
* Review shipping orders, rates & schedules to make sure they are accurate and complete
* Schedule delivery based on customer requirement & available options
* Maintain accurate & fully updated records on tracker sheet, ensure all costs & Selling are recorded in it.
* Coordinate 3rd party logistics providers to handle shipping needs
* Follow up efficiently timely pickup and delivery of shipments.
* Customer service skills to successfully complete tasks.
* Freight coordinators must interface with a variety of people non-stop & provide excellent customer service.
* Work in an office environment & comfortable using MS office & Outlook.

YOUR TASKS:
* Identify, develop and maintain favorable contact with high level decision makers including C-suite level and work to understand strategic business challenges while developing a business fit between DGF and the customer.
* Focus is on delivering Customer Satisfaction by leveraging the organization's network and ensuring all stakeholders are engaged.
* Develop proposals and sales plans that support increased sales from targeted prospects.
* Ability to work off hours or overtime on short notice
* Highly motivated, detail-oriented team player & dedicated to providing high quality customer service.
* Customer Service Skills - Communicate effectively, directly and indirectly, with clients, vendors, co-workers, government agencies, industry partners via phone & email to complete challenging tasks in a time sensitive manner.
* MS Office Suite skills - most importantly, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
* Call carriers to coordinate shipment schedules.
* Minimum of ‎3-‎5 years of experience in the transportation/logistics field working in freight forwarding or equivalent.
YOUR PROFILE:
* Exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, resourcefulness and empathy.
* Analyzes and resolves complex cross-functional issues.
* Well-developed relationship skills and ability to network with multiple levels of an organization and other business units.
* Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline and/or ‎10-‎15 years of experience in Ocean Freight Forwarding / Ocean carriers / high volume retailers with Ocean Freight business in the area of transportation, logistics or supply chain.
