Your purpose

Considered the guardian of the in-store shopping journey end to end, who is
accountable on securing an enjoyable, efficient, and hassle-free shopping
experience for our customers throughout the different touch points, enabling
them to find what they are looking for and to complete their payment process
easily and conveniently.
This includes in particular:
* Securing an accurate and consistent implementation of the ways to shop and service communication across all the areas throughout the store.
* Securing the four IKEA merchandising basics are in place and being consistently evaluated and tested through the online test buy cycle.
* Ensuring the store's facilities and all other customer meeting points are constantly vital, inspiring and in shape as new.
* Securing that the customer waiting time is within the goal through ensuring process compliance by coworkers and consistent performance monitoring.
* Securing a fast, easy, and customer-friendly check out.
* Securing sufficient staff availability through accurate staff planning.
* Securing a cost-effective payment process.
Your accountabilities
Lead the unit by managing the below areas:
a. Entrance and greeter; so that first impression counts with a warm welcome
to customers, provide them with the shopping tools that put them into the
buying mood.
b. Smaland; taking care of the children in a safe and fun playground so
parents can shop in the store in an easy way.
c. Shopping tools; securing all in place and replenished on a timely basis
throughout the store to assist customers in their shopping and mechanical
sales process and help them save time and effort (shopping trolleys, furniture
trolleys, shopping bags, pencils, shopping lists, measuring tape, and
catalogs).
d. Communication; implementing and maintaining a visible and clear
communication that promotes ways to shop, policies, customer guidance,
services, and any other that facilitate customers ' shopping experience.
e. Test purchase cycle; Securing the highest level of stock availability at
all times by conducting daily tests on random articles covering all HFBs while
ensuring findings are address and acted on by all the relevant stakeholders
f. Checkout/Payment; Ensuring payments are handled in a reliable, efficient,
and secure way. Using the IKEA tools and expertise of our colleagues to
support us in achieving this.
g. Customer waiting time; monitoring and optimization by ensuing coworkers are
complying with process and challenges are being addressed.
h. Family friendly activities; throughout the store that creates attraction
and entertainment. Positioning the store as a fun day out by ensuring all
activities meet the desired standards, routines, and customers' expectations.
* Provide customers with a positive shopping experience by ensuring a fast, customer-friendly, and convenient one throughout the different touch points.
* Secure the ways to shop and service communication is communicated at the relevant locations in IKEA as per the matrix and that it's constantly maintained.

Qualification
*
Bachelor degree in Business Administration or relevant.
* Experience of working in a management role within retail and taking responsibility for a large team.
* Quick learner who can adapt to changing demands easily.
* Ability to understand the key principles of the shopping experience and customers' expectations.
* An interest in home furnishing.
* Sound understanding of business and a background gained from working in a customer-focused, fast-paced and multichannel retail environment.
* Experienced in creating and implementing short-term plans and following up goals.
* Proven customer-focused mindset.
* Self-reliant and motivated with a proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
* Self-confident and assertive with the ability to influence through the use of customer insights.
* Ability to set clear expectations and directions.
* Proven record/experience of developing people and organisations.
* Good analytical and numerical skills.
* Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in the local language(s) and English.
