Basic Functions
Establishes aviation logistics support goals and milestones; provides vision,
direction and supervision to achieve the established goals of the logistics
support plan to improve aviation logistics support for the organization.
Provides Senior Level Management with Logistical Solutions while managing the
day to day technical aspects of the aviation logistics support of the
organization. Highly skilled in Aviation Logistics and Technical Supply Chain
Management; manages budgets, provisioning for the organizations' expanding
mission and provides AS9110 operational direction to ensure daily operation
adheres to the standards outlined in the statues. Possesses good understanding
of FMS Case regulations as well as pertinent FMs, ARs, DA Pams and DoD
publications governing management of materiel and materiel accountability.
Ensures that the aviation supply chain functional activities are planned,
coordinated, integrated, synchronized to achieve the established MDS aircraft
operational readiness (OR) rates in accordance with contractual requirements.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
* Duties/responsibilities: Responsible for Aviation Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM) support activities associated with DAT aviation program.
* Makes operational logistics decisions to influence the Aviation Supply Chain to reduce the order to receipt time.
* Intensely manage Class III (p), Class VII and Class IX (a) on a daily basis in order to reduce zero balance and AOG situations, increase Operational and Customer Satisfaction Rates.
* Forecast and Project Operational Logistics needs by developing metrics and methodologies to understand future aviation maintenance needs.
* Develop an effective storage plan that best utilizes the limited available storage area while maximizing efficiency for Class III (p) and IX (a) Items.
* Leads the development and implementation of materials requisition and handling business rules and work process in an electronic work flow system.
* Ensure Maximo error rates are reduced by developing a QA/QC of received Materiel Requests packets from the customer to ensure adequate information is available to submit purchase requests to Procurement Services Division.
* Manage the organization's forecast planning function using inventory levels, production speed, and product demand to estimate output; work with OEM and customers to determine optimal inventory levels.
* Responsible for overseeing warehousing, shipping, receiving, and handling of materials; supervise transport of materials; assist in coordination of day-to-day operations of organization.
* Oversee the development of quality standards and protocols for quality assurance of data inputs into Maximo system, assist in the design and implementation of policies and procedures for day to day operations of the warehouse.
* Supervise the disposal/recycling of items beyond economical repair (BER).
* Manage technical "On the Job Training" Job Books for training program for Saudi students; determine training objectives; administer written and practical exams; write performance reports to evaluate trainees
* Plan, direct, and manage operations utilizing MAXIMO; interpret results using a variety of techniques; generate reports.
* Generate Class III (p) and IX (a) reports for submission to the Senior Logistics Manager.
* Unload incoming inventory from trucks; stock inventory into shelf locations; pick inventory for issue to maintenance personnel or exchange for shipment to repair station; operate heavy equipment.
* Perform inventory cycle counts; research missing parts to find current locations; ensure all warehouse personnel follow policies and procedures for inventory-handling.
* Supervises and oversees all warehouse operational functions of MAXIMO as related to day to day warehouse operations supporting Class IX (a) Aviation repair parts.
* Supervises and oversees all warehouse operational functions of MAXIMO as related to day to day warehouse operations supporting Class III (p) and IX (a) for AITD.
* Responsible for overseeing warehouse Class III and IX automation modernization to include Scan Gun, Barcode construction and printing for all Class III and IX warehouse locations.
* Other duties as assigned and or directed by management.

B. Independence: Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and
responsibilities with significant choice of methods. Authority to select and
implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and
responsibilities.

C. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises, trains, and directs the Logistics
Team, Facility Maintenance Team and the OJT program; provides Senior Level
Logistics expertise to manage all COS, maintain AS9110 Certification Standards
and the Logistics support vision and goals

Minimum Qualifications
* Education Level: Associate degree desired or a combination of experience and education and equivalent years of relevant experience required. Graduate of Logistics Management College or equivalent with related military assignments or civilian positions can also be substituted for Associates' degree Graduate of US military Aviation Non-Commission Officer Advanced Course and or Aviation Warrant Officer Course (preferred).
* Experience: ‎10 years' experience in US Military Aviation Logistics/Supply Chain Management (LSCM) (or ‎15 years Aviation industry/civilian experience) required. Former Senior Non-Commission Officer (preferred). Military Aviation LSCM experience within the last five years desired. Working knowledge of Aviation STAMIS.
* Specific knowledge, skill, and ability requirements: Aviation supply chain experience required; US Army Aviation logistics and Technical Supply chain experience preferred. Military or Civilian assignments managing Aviation Technical Supply, SSA or Distribution center highly desired. Military service school instructor in manual or automated logistics systems or civilian equivalent with platform instruction experience for logistics desired. Certificates: Army Aviation supply certification in Logistics, Automated Logistics, or civilian equivalent desired. Proficient with Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Participates in meetings and conferences, as required. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written. Ability to deal effectively with people in the supervision of staff. Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner. Strong organizational skills and time management. Possess a valid driver's license.
