QUALITY ASSURANCE COORDINATOR, FOOD SERVICES

Develops and implements quality assurance programs to detect deficiencies and
effect corrective action to improve patient care and employee service related
to Food Services (FS).


Essential Responsibilities and Duties

‎1. Develops and oversees the quality improvement programs in the department
that are related to policies and procedures.
‎2. Applies quality assurance methodologies to determine departmental
deficiencies, and determine appropriate corrective actions.
‎3. Establishes quality assurance criteria and standards for departmental
operations, modifies these criteria to procedure development and training and
use of statistical date.
‎4. Integrates all quality assurance activities within the department to
include standard definitions, policy and procedure development, staff
development and training, and use of statistical data.
‎5. Collects and analyses data to identify problems which require immediate
attention or further study and makes suggestions to improve FS quality and
safety.
‎6. Liaises with other departments regarding quality assurance programs and
ensures these programs are in accordance with the Hospital policies and
requirements as they relate to FS.
‎7. Takes a lead role in assisting teams to plan and develop Quality
Improvement Initiatives in the FS.
‎8. Ensures that food products meet the Hospital standard, and also national
and international standards.
‎9. Assists in the development and analysis of proposed expansions and
introduces new programs/services as required.
‎10. Represents the Department as a quality coordinator in designated
committees'/ task forces.
‎11. Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.
‎12. Participates in self and other's education, training and development, as
applicable.
‎13. Performs other related duties as assigned.


Education

Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition/Food Sciences, Hotel Management or
related field is required.


Experience Required

Three (‎3) years of related experience with Master's or five (‎5) years with
Bachelor's Degree in hospital or hotel restaurant including two (‎2) years in a
leadership position is required.


Other Requirements(Certificates)


  • Certified Professional in Health Quality (CPHQ) or equivalent is preferred.

  • Saudi National Only.
