Job Purpose:

The Cashier will be responsible for the F&B outlet cash handling procedure,
accurately charging customers for their food purchases, matching the daily
takings report and supporting a flawless service operation.

Duties and responsibilities
*  Arrange the daily float and prepare the credit card machines for service
*  Carrying out opening and closing procedures according to the checklist provided
*  Handling cash and credit card transactions using a POS (Point of Sale) register
*  Handling customer complaints or payment disputes
*  Assisting the management in verifying discounts and voids
*  Completing daily cash-up reports according to company procedure, ensure takings match with POS report
*  Carry out discrepancy investigations with help of the management
*  Ensure the correct float amount is kept safe for the next days operation
*  Change the cash float to ensure adequate amount of notes/coins are available for the operation
*  Ensure the necessary stock level of till rolls are on premises and assist the management in reordering
*  Assist with any other necessary service aspect
*  Adhere to company policies and procedures
*  Represent the company to the highest standard possible whilst striving for perfection

Work Experience

 Minimum ‎2 years' experience as a Cashier in the hospitality industry
 Restaurant experiences preferred
 Experience in working with strict company cash handling policy

Skills Required

 Excellent spoken and written English
 Hands on, hard working in a busy environment
 Ability to have positive interactions with all customers
 Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
 Computer literate, must have experience using POS system
 Excellent customer service skills
 Extensive food and beverage knowledge
 Good communicator and team player

Qualifications

 Diploma, undergraduate or graduate certificate preferred
