  • Manage, plan and organize the Credit Administration Department in accordance with business area requirements to provide a high-quality service in a controlled manner in accordance with the bank's policy & SAMA guidelines/regulations. The emphasis of this job moves away from the supervision and overseeing of individual work processes and towards overall enhancement/integration of the Credit Administration processes/activities within overall Bank process flows to effect improvements in service levels. Jobs at this level contribute to the definition of Operating policies/procedures and performance is managed by review of end results on a periodic basis.

  • As a member of the management team, contribute towards the development of BSF Credit policy, Systems & Processes which assists the Bank achieving its commercial objectives.

  • Provide leadership to the Credit Administration Department (i.e. setting individual objectives, reviewing performance and providing ongoing feedback on a formal & informal basis) and spread risk awareness banks value concepts so that all staff are aware of what they are required to achieve and how they are performing against their objectives.

  • Develop/update Credit Admin processes, operating policies and procedure so that areas of risk are eliminated and activities takes place in compliance with bank's policy, SAMA guidelines & related Laws from various government entities (i.e. Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Commerce & Investment, Ministry of Housing, etc…). Keep abreast of local and international rules, practices & trends in the Banking field to ensure BSF is well aware of new regulations.

  • Develop, review & update security documents templates in coordination with other stakeholders to eliminate any areas of risks, and make sure all operational, procedural & business requirements are covered in the template to secure the bank's position in case of any litigation with defaulted clients.

  • Periodically review all reports pertaining activity statistics, data & progress of ongoing assignments/tasks undertaken by reporting units. Discuss any shortfall/deviations with reporting teams & consolidate reports for submission to Management or other business areas.

  • Act as a 2nd level of review/validation for documents checking /implementation of limits pertaining syndication/structured finance clients. Highlight any shortfalls/discrepancies to reporting teams & related business areas for their corrective action.

  • Initiate & supervise new projects for enhancing credit admin processes & systems. Collect feedback and coordinate with other business areas to cover all requirements to deliver optimal results.

  • Develop annual plans and budgets for the department so that the Bank is aware of anticipated revenues and costs.

  • Benchmark BSF credit processing efficiency and service levels versus other banks within the Kingdom and globally so that BSF adopts best operational practice.

  • 1Ensure proper implementation of Credit Policy Manual & Credit Admin Procedure so that the risk for the bank is minimized. And Ensure adherence of all reporting units.

  • 1Delegate and approve certain autonomies to unit managers to facilitate smooth operating processes.

  • Assist and guide reporting units through irregular incidents, issues and exceptional cases which may arise from time to time and initiate corrective action.

  • Thorough knowledge of BSF operational & technical aspect of the credit processes.

  • Understanding of banking laws and knowledge of risk management and legal issues related to commercial lending.

  • Credit trained and familiar with portfolio management tools and the legal and regulatory environment in which the Bank operates.

  • Sound knowledge of processing systems.

  • Thorough knowledge of SAMA regulations/guidelines pertaining credit admin functions/processes.

  • Good numerical analytical skills.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to resolve issues with staff in other business areas.

  • Written and spoken fluency in Arabic and English languages.

  • University graduate.

  • ‎5 years' experience in Regional Unit Manager and/or Team leader, or ‎12 years' experience in credit admin functions and thorough knowledge of bank commercial lending products, documentation and operations.
