Sponsorship Director

Location: This role would ideally be based in Riyadh. If based out of
Saudi Arabia, then a commitment to regular travel will be required.

The Opportunity:
We have successfully partnered with the Ministry of Industry and Mineral
Resources to launch a prestigious new mining event to be held in Riyadh, Saudi
Arabia 'Future Minerals Summit'. Under the patronage of the King, FMS is
intended to be the regions largest and most influential mining event. Starting
initially with a Summit and Technology Showcase, FMS will eventually
encompassing a full-fledged exhibition and trade show.
Responsibilities:
* To be the key sponsorship lead and facilitate the closing of key revenue for the Future Minerals Summit - January ‎2022 and beyond
* A global focus on this event selling into all regions, and nature of businesses
* Build, manage and maintain relationships with the Government partner on the event, developing and implementing short and long-term sales strategies for the event.
* Research and understand the event and develop the best Unique Sales Proposition as it relates to each client.
* Gain a clear understanding of the competitor landscape to achieve Business Development objectives and provide intelligence to the team.
* Provide forecasting and strategic planning advice based on your knowledge of the target market.
* Build and update contacts within our HubSpot CRM.
* Plan and deliver Business Development trips whilst attending ours and other International events around the world.
* Take this event from strength to strength and achieve year on year growth.
Skills and Experience:
* Minimum ‎5 years' experience in sponsorship sales.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues and customers.
* Driven, proactive and self-managed approach to Business Development.
* Proven track record in new business development and account management.
* Flexible approach to work as we are a global business.
* Experience of working with international customers is preferred.
* Experience in the Mining, Civil Engineering or Construction Space is highly desirable.
