Strong academic credentials including a law degree (J.D., LLB or equivalent)
from a leading university and/or law school is required.
5+ years of post-qualification legal experience practicing corporate and/or
commercial law at an international law firm or large multi-national in Saudi
Arabia.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as demonstrated
proficiency in advising senior executives of an organization.
Native or full professional Arabic language proficiency (reviewing, drafting
documents and conducting meetings).

In this role, you will support Amazon’s KSA consumer business on a broad range
of commercial, technology and regulatory matters. You will work directly with
the business to structure, draft and negotiate commercial transactions,
resolve issues that arise in existing commercial relationships, provide day-
to-day advice, advise on new products and services being launched in (or from)
the KSA, and handle pre-litigation legal disputes and regulatory inquiries.
The successful candidate must be inquisitive, able to develop innovative and
creative legal solutions, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard
and being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in
ambiguous situations.
This position will be located in Riyadh. Some travel, domestic and
international, will be required.
Key job responsibilities
Primary duties include handling legal issues in creative, business-centric
ways and you will build processes that address risk and allow the business
flexibility and freedom to move quickly. In addition to structuring, drafting,
and negotiating commercial transactions and business structures, you will help
resolve issues that arise in commercial relationships. You will be advising
the business on a wide range of issues, working with: Retail, Compliance, PR,
Public Policy, Marketing, Product, Finance and Tax teams to structure,
negotiate and draft general business transactions and drive policy change and
improvement across the business.
Saudi national.
Experience in technology and commercial transactions.
Good business judgment especially in ambiguous situations.
Hands-on project management experience including excellent organizational
skills, the ability to manage a large number and variety of mission-critical
projects, working independently and often in ambiguous environment
Experience running complex transactions and having primary responsibility for
negotiations, drafting, and client communications.
Team player and consensus builder with great people skills and a good sense of
humor who can effectively and efficiently collaborate and build relationships
with attorneys and business clients at all levels throughout the organization.
Common sense, great judgment, strong analytical skills.
