priority. We are currently seeking a Principal Systems Engineer.
Role Summary:
The Electrical Engineer - Low Current is responsible for the management of the
on-site Riyadh Metro Project electrical construction activities.
As part of a multi-disciplinary Construction team, the successful candidate
will be responsible for planning and monitoring the execution of electrical
related works. This team is responsible for making decisions that will have an
impact on the resource requirements, scope, schedule, risk profile, quality,
health and safety, and financial performance of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
* Assisting the Construction Manager in the supervision and management of construction activities to assigned project
* Providing engineering and technical supports to all electrical work groups at site
* Planning the execution of all electrical related works and coordinating the works with the mechanical and civil engineering teams
* Implementing and monitoring all electrical related works at site as per approved drawings and methods and safety rules
* Monitoring and overseeing contractor's activities regarding Low current and Security works installation (ICT, Telecom, ELV, Fire Alarm System, Audio-visual system, Security Access Control, CCTV etc.) to Ensure that all construction works are performed in strict accordance with the plans and specifications.
* Providing technical inputs for methodologies of installation & testing and ensuring required quality checking/approval procedures are carried out.
* Reviewing, commenting, and approving all construction documents submitted by contractor (shop drawings, MIR, WIR, RFI, calculations, material submittals, etc.).
* Reviewing and approving the method of statement and material
* Liaising and attending coordination meetings with client, contractors, consultants, construction manager and other key at the sites of construction to solve technical issues and other related matters
* Conducting daily briefing with Resident Engineers and Assistant Resident Engineers to follow-up and report on the work progress to anticipate any possible delays with regards to planned tasks
* Conducting testing and commissioning and reviewing all close out documents for all Low current and Security systems.
* Following up with local authorities and service providers

Qualifications:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree
* Minimum ‎10 years work experience in Project Management and Construction
* Management relevant site electrical experience on Large Infrastructure, High Rise, Industrial City and Mixed Used Projects
* Extensive experience in low current and security systems (eg. ICT, Telecom, ELV, Fire Alarm, BMS, PA System, Audio-Visual System, Security Access Control, CCTV etc.)
* Well versed in interpreting and executing electrical related drawings
* Good understanding of business-critical scenarios in terms of site management and safety
* Knowledgeable with the use of Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook)
* Good communications skills in English
