Job Purpose Statement:
Lead and direct Nando’s in KSA so that it achieves its strategic objectives
and its long term viability is ensured. This must be done in line with the
Master Franchise Agreement, the Nando’s Values and country specific
legislation.
Key Performance Areas:
Provide overall strategic direction by developing and recommending appropriate
strategies and policies for approval and then ensuring their successful
implementation in line with the master franchise agreement and in country
legislation.
Responsible to drive P&L; of Nando’s in KSA which involves monitoring the net
income after expenses for the brand
Oversee the management of the Finances so that targets are achieved in line
with the strategic priorities.
Act as the custodian of the Nando’s brand, delivering exceptional standards of
quality, service and product at all times across the market.
Oversee the Marketing, Property, IT, Design, Legal, Supply Chain, Operations,
and Human Resources functions so that strategic objectives are achieved in
line with budget.
Manage relationships with key stakeholders and communicate with them both
formally and informally to ensure their understanding of the Nando’s brand and
how they can contribute to its sustainability and growth.
Create and maintain a motivational climate, which promotes engaged Nandocas
and the development of constructive working relationships.
Manage the performance of key staff so that they are able to achieve the
objectives set for them.
Key Requirements:
Qualifications: Unless the applicant can demonstrate that s/he has
developed the necessary competencies through experience, a management /
business related qualification is required.
Experience: At least 10 years’ management experience, 5 of which must be
at a senior general management position leading multi-disciplinary teams
within a small to medium sized hospitality / restaurant company; a track
record of delivering significant profitable growth within a franchised
restaurant business model is required; previous experience in the development
of strategy is essential; previous experience operating at a senior level in
Africa / Middle East or South Asia is an advantage; experience in company
turnarounds is an advantage.
Knowledge of regional demographics and growth nodes.
Knowledge of contract management and supply chain management.
