The Riyadh Metro Transit Consultants (RMTC has been formed to successfully
provide Project & Construction Management (PMCM) services for the
implementation on the cutting edge, world-class Riyadh Metro project:
The Riyadh Metro project will be successful if fire safety and protection is
properly implemented. Through these, project needs the fire and life safety
specialist.
Fire and Life Safety Specialist is involved in the fire safety protection
program. They are performing risk analysis and checking for fire hazards,
developing fire protection strategies that can be used for various facilities,
consulting on technical requirements for code adherence, and preparing and
maintaining fire safety systems. Reporting to Fire and Life Safety Manager.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
* Review Rail System and Subsystems including Civil Works Fire and Life Safety Plans
* Monitor the required Fire and Life Safety Certification Process
* Review and approve System and Subsystem Fire and Life Safety Reports
* Review the Contractor's Fire and Life Safety related T&C plans and reports
* Supervise and executing plans and procedures of the existing construction works
* Review the Fire & Life Safety analysis
* Review RAM and Safety documentation and analyses produced by the Rail System Contractor and its subcontractors, in accordance with contracts' requirements and project lifecycle defined in railway system standard
* Review of the Contractors' Hazard Logs to ensure that fire related hazards are correctly covered, and adequate protection measures are designed and implemented
* Participate in tests and review the system and subsystem test reports to ensure that the design requirements are correctly implemented
* Review and monitor the integration of the Fire & Life Safety reports and analysis with the system and subsystem Safety Cases
* Interpret and provide consultation on Fire and Safety Engineering codes and standards.
* Provide technical expertise in the fires protection field and to maintaining human lives.
* Experience in computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
* Ability to assess performance-based analysis according to NFPA
* Experience in tunnel ventilation design, tunnel evacuation for passengers, emergency evacutation from stations and all MEP and systems that supports firefighting and life safety during evacuation from tunnels, viaducts and stations
Bachelor degree
