Lead FLS (Fire, Life, and Safety)

Job Description:
Parsons KAFD is looking for an amazingly talented Lead FLS (Fire, Life, and
Safety) to join our team!
In this role, you will join a leading professional engineering, construction,
and cost management team working on multiple projects in the King Abdullah
Financial District (KAFD). KAFD is a master plan development positioned to
become Riyadh's new Central Business District that combines a mixture of
world-class commercial offices, hotels, retail spaces, and contemporary
residences in addition to smart city solutions that redefine urban living.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Advises and assists Program/Project and Construction Management in the
formulation, implementation, and management of major Fire, Life, and Safety
(FLS) plans. These plans may pertain to one or more job site locations, which
are separate and distinct construction operations requiring integrated
supervision of programs. Ensures that the project FLS plan reflects company
policy and provides a coordinated plan for the overall project which complies
with the prevailing FLS requirements at each location.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Advises and assists the most senior construction site representative in the
establishment and management of FLS processes, identifying and
eliminating/controlling any hazards to persons, systems, and property.
Represents management during FLS inspections on the job site by regulatory
authorities. Receives, reviews, and distributes FLS inspection reports with
recommended corrective actions. Provides FLS oversight to the new hire safety
orientation process and other FLS-related training.

Conducts FLS assessments for upcoming work and provides technical assistance
to the FLS planning process.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be
appropriate.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field (or
equivalent experience) and typically ‎8+ years of related work experience in
the field of Fire, Life, and Safety.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Requires a thorough knowledge of Federal and state health and safety
regulations and reporting procedures, as well as good communication and
interpersonal skills.
