We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager with strong managerial
and operational experience. This role will build up and lead the accounting
team within the Finance department for the Region Middle East. The Accounting
Manager will partner with multiple stakeholders in KSA and USA to ensure
accurate, complete and timely accounting activities, and to help secure the

Role & responsibilities

• Oversee the daily activities of the accounting team and ensure that all tasks and projects including month-, quarter-, year-end closing and reporting are completed accurately and on time
  
  
  • Comply with accounting standards (IFRS / US GAAP) and internal policies
  
  
  • Manage the periodic close and consolidation processes in SAP across the various functions and with the corporate and local finance teams
  
  
  • Consolidate and report G/L for the relevant entities
  
  
  
  


• Ensure payable and receivables are appropriately dispositioned and settled


• Support activities related to payroll, procurement and other functions


• Investigate and resolve material variances on balance sheet, P/L and cash flow statements and provide related explanations and decision guidance to management


• Perform detailed analytical reviews of the assigned financial reporting areas, including reconciliations and issuance of financial statements


• Evaluate, develop, and improve department controls, systems, and procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency


• Develop and perform internal controls, and work closely with relevant departments to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, the Internal Control System and SOX


• Collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis team on developing and implementing plans for budgeting, forecasting and reporting


• Provide process and system training and support to the respective finance and business teams


• Ensure proper accounting information flow that is integrated with the overall management information system


• Ensure the readiness of conduct of external and internal audit accounting records at any time


• Manage others, develop exceptional talent, and encourage team to challenge assumptions

Qualifications

• Bachelor 's degree in accounting or finance with a CPA/MBA preferred


• Minimum of ‎8 years of accounting/finance experience and ‎5 years of managerial experience


• Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP as well as finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures


• Excellent time management skills, communication, decision making, and organizational skills


• Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy and accountability for results


• Ability to be collaborative and creating effective internal business partnerships


• Proven technical, quantitative and critical-thinking skills, initiative and creativity


• High proficiency with SAP and MS Office/Excel


• Accounting Manager experience in the automotive industry would be a plus
