EXPERIENCE EDUCATION COORDINATOR

Develops implements and facilitates on-the-job educational material related to
patient experience. Adopts and promotes patient experience practices thru
training sessions for Hospital's employees by managing, facilitating, and
evaluating patient experience educational programs.


Essential Responsibilities and Duties


  • Assesses patient experience educational needs utilizing unit specific patient experience data, developsstrategies and educational plans including cost benefit analysis that demonstrates improvement inpatient experience behavioralstandards.

  • Designs evidence-basedcurriculum that includes digital and print educational material (e.g. videosand manuals).

  • Evaluates, modifies,implements and manages evidence basedpatient experience educational programs.

  • Evaluates externally produced patient experience curriculum and writes recommendations for suitability to internal implementation.

  • Identifies implements andevaluates innovative models of education and training to support changes in practice environments.

  • Coordinates educational plans in collaboration with the specialty areamanagers and other stakeholders. Liaise with managers and encourage on-the-jobcoaching.

  • Organizes classroom-styleseminars about patient experience thru role-playing activities to developinterpersonal skills (e.g. negotiation, teamwork and conflict management).

  • Contributes to the development and deliveryof Experience Office objectives using a continuous improvement paradigm. Works creativelyto achieve objectives by embracing new ways of working and taking the lead in thechange management process when appropriate.

  • Demonstrates excellentpersonal communication. Establishes and maintains effectivetwo-way communication channels with individuals and multidisciplinary team. Treats colleagues, patients, and visitorswith dignity and respect at all times.

  • Ensures new hires take onbasic patient experience training courses, including communication skills,conflict resolution, patient experience training …etc.

  • Assesses the impact of eacheducational courses on staff performance and patient experience.

  • Schedule regular trainingsessions for hospital employees (e.g. monthly or quarterly).

  • Participates in academic curriculum reviews from requesting university-based schools.


Education

Masters or Bachelor 's Degreein Health Education, Social Services, Psychology,
or other related disciplineis required.


Experience Required

Five (‎5) years of relatedexperience with Master 's, or seven (‎7) years with
Bachelor's Degree isrequired.


Other Requirements(Certificates)

Knowledge in patient or customer experienceis preferred.
Knowledge of Learning Management Software(LMS) is preferred.
Familiarity with interactivelearning activities is preferred.
