About the role
* The role provides financial decision support and leads the financial planning processes for Novartis Saudi International BU to contribute to the formula-tion of the business and competitive strategies of the BU.
* FP&A Lead is responsible for developing and using financial early warning forecast systems. This role provides financial and budgetary forecasts for lo-cal management and Regional HQ officers for use in short and long- term company financial and budgetary planning, ensuring reporting system in-teroperability and data integrity and no surprises.
* The role supports the implementation of initiatives critical to those strategies, with the ultimate goal of contributing to the growth, profitability, productivi-ty and success of the International BU.
* The role is accountable for the Strategic Planning function, with focus on the business modelling, relationships and financial frameworks for the key launch drugs and strategic products.
* The role is to support the local BD&L function in current and future deal making; this includes component of the local manufacturing agenda, expan-sion and sustainability of the Novartis Saudi portfolio.
* Standardize Policies and Procedures & improve Management Cash Flow (MCF) within Novartis Saudi through:
 Identification and dissemination of best practices,
 Leading periodic local workshops and Working Capital / Balance Sheet
Initiatives
 Training the FP&A Associate on processes and systems
 Internal and external Benchmarking 
Early recognition of issues and working with Region, Cluster and CPO-based
colleagues to resolution.
* Maintain the overview of Regional and Cluster activity and results to opti-mize the investment in Receivables and Payables, help GCC, APMA Region and the CPOs realize their risk-avoidance strategies and thereby achieve their targets.
* The role is accountable for monthly MCF reporting, identify gaps, define, and implement remediation actions. Enhance understanding and awareness of the topic within the cluster
* Lead and follow up closely on Productivity initiatives, assess its viability.

Role Requirements
Education (minimum/desirable):
Degree educated in Business Administration, Financial management, Accountant,
Industrial Engineer or Life Sciences. Desirable degrees: MBA,
Chartered/Certified Accountant

Languages:
Fluency in English is prerequisite, while knowledge of Arabic and would be an
advantage.

Experience:
* Significant (‎7-‎10 years) experience in budgeting and/or controlling positions or within pharmaceuticals industry.
* Experience designing and operating financial reporting and forecasting systems
* Excellent analytical ability
* Strong written and oral communication skills, and ability to clearly present financial data in reports distributed to Regional and Global officers
