Be part of our Corporate Finance team as an Accountant (General & Tax
Specialist) in Riyadh, KSA.
What are my responsibilities?
* Responsible for the day-to-day activities related to the accounting department of the KSA branch.
* Support the Accounting team (based in the Dubai office) during the month for the general accounting entries/postings and month-end closing of the KSA branch.
* Consistent review and validation of ERP GL balances and periodic review of open items.
* Provide full taxation support to the Corporate Finance Manager, accounting staff, and other related employees.
* Preparing, validating and submitting all required VAT/WHT/Income Tax returns, supporting schedules, and any documentation/responses as may be required by the Tax Authority, within the specified deadlines, in coordination with internal /external Tax consultants.
* Ensure timely payment of Tax Liability, and regular reconciliation of the Tax control accounts and record liquidity Management: Review and maintain the bank account to ensure funds are managed according to the guidelines.
* To ensure that all the bank related transactions are recorded in the ERP accurately and on a timely basis
* Support during Financial Audit of the branch, preparing the required schedules and corresponding with the auditors.
What do I need to qualify for the role?
* A Bachelor or Masters in Accounting/Finance/Commerce.
* Professional qualification in Finance & Accounting (CPA, CA, CA Inter, ACCA) is preferred.
* 5-10 years of experience in managing the Accounts and Tax functions for medium/large organizations/projects in the region.
* Should have strong knowledge of Accounting Regulation (IFRS/IAS) and permanent establishment treatment.
* Experience and strong understanding of tax functions in the large corporate environment.
* Strong knowledge of Tax Laws of KSA, Certification in International or Local Tax Laws is preferred.
* Knowledge of ERP (preferably SAP).
* Proficient use of MS Office applications, especially MS Excel is mandatory.
* Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English, Knowledge of Arabic will be an added advantage.
