Performs standard laboratory animalsexperiments, performs routine animal
husbandry, carries out biological samplescollections, data entry and performs
animal census and supplies inventories.
1. Assists researchers and veterinarians with animals procedures and
biological samples collection.
2. Performs all aspects of basic husbandry care for a variety of laboratory
animal species in accordance with the established policies and procedures.
3. Establishes and maintains genetically modified mouse colonies and keeps
accurate breeding records.
4. Assists with biosecurity and facilities' environmental monitoring
practices implementation.
5. Keeps detailed logs of all animal work-related activities and prepare
statistical records for all animals' usage and procedures.
6. Receives and verifies animals' shipments against purchase orders.
7. Follows all laboratory safety rules and regulations.
8. Follows all Hospital's related Policies and Procedures.
9. Participates in self and others' education, training and development, as
applicable.
10. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Associate /Diploma Degree in Science, AALAS LAT Certificate or scientific
discipline relevant to the research field or High School is required.
Two (2) years of related experience with Associate /Diploma or AALAS LAT
Certificate, or four (4) years of related experience with High School is
required.
